Myrrh is used as an offering to the Goddess as it is ruled by the moon. It is the feminine component.. Frankincense is ruled by the Sun, the masculine component to the feminine Myrrh.   Mixing Frankincense and Myrrh together balances yin and yang, mind, body, soul, and is believed to banish evil spirits. May be used to prepare the environment for ritual, as is said to call forth the angels in creating a sacred space. The smoke that rises as the resin burns helps to carry prayers and offerings to Heaven.
